Description
The OCF 6.1 is an open channel flow meter that doubles as a tank level meter, making it a perfect solution for both non-contacting flow measurement and level measurement. The non-contacting open channel flow meter is able to continuously monitor, display, totalize, and data log flow through any flume or weir. The ultrasonic sensor supplied with the OCF 6.1 mounts just 203.2 mm (8 in) above the flowing water giving +/- 0.25% accuracy.
This non-contacting open channel flow measurement device includes a built-in 26 million point data logger and flow reporting system. Use the isolated 4-20mA to transmit flow to remote chart recorders or displays, and the control relays are programmable for level/flow alarm and flow proportionate pulse (for samplers, chlorinators, or remote totalizers).
Use the OCF 6.1 in open channel flow mode for non-invasive flow, irrigation flow monitoring, industrial flow monitoring, and influent and effluent flow.
For tank level measurement, simply mount the ultrasonic sensor at the top of the tank and the separate, watertight electronics/display enclosure is mounted at a convenient nearby location within 152.4 m (500 ft) of the sensor. An intrinsic safety barrier is optional for sensor and cable installations in hazardous rated locations. Get accurate and reliable tank level measurement, stock control, and silo measurement without having to interrupt or shut down the process.
